Arsenal has terminated the contract of Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a mutual consent to enable him join AS Roma permanently.
A statement from the Gunners website reads: “We have agreed to terminate his contract with us by mutual consent to allow him to join Roma on a permanent move”.
“Every one at Arsenal thanks Micki for his contribution to the club abd wishes him all the best for his future with Roma”.
The Armenia international joined the Gunners from Old Trafford in January 2018, the move was part of Alexis Sanchez deal when he joined Manchester United.
The 31-year-old spent last season at Stadio Olimpico on loan in the Italian Serie A where he scored nine goals for Roma in 27 appearances in all competitions.
While playing at the Emirates Stadium he also scored nine goals but this time in 59 appearances.
