Ahead of Sevilla’s Europa League game against AS Roma on August 6, one of their first team player has tested positive for Covid-19 the club has confirmed.
The player whose name was not disclosed to the public was tested on Sunday July 26, along with other players and coaching staff before the result was returned on Monday July, 27.
The player did not show any symptoms of Covid-19 but he is observing self-isolation at home and the Los Palanganas have immediately suspended their training sessions.
Two further tests have since been conducted on the team which includes the coaching staff and the players, the first round came out negative.
