President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania Trump, have both tested positive to COVID-19.
Donald Trump made this announcement on Friday, October 1, via his official twitter handle.
He revealed that they have both began their quarantine process and hope to recover immediately.
His tweet read;
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!
I was also revealed that Hope Hicks, one of Trump’s most senior advisers who travelled with him this week on multiple trips, also contracted the infection.
Speaking in a statement, Donald Trump’s physician, Dr. physician Sean Conley, revealed that “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence”.
‘Rest assured, I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering’, he added.
