Singer and songwriter, Simisola kosoko popularly known as Simi, has taken to her official twitter handle to kick against the suggestions that the #EndSARS movement should have representatives to dialogue with government.
The #EndSARS movement has continued to be largely decentralized with no particular leader or leadership structure and Simi believes it should remain so, stating that “Divided we scatter”.
She also said that appointing someone as a leader will rest the responsibility on the eventual outcome of the dialogue on their shoulders.
I don’t know how I feel about having appointed representative. I know the intent is good but I believe that whatever the Nigerian Govt wants to say they should say to everyone. Organize press conference and talk to us, cos this shoe is pinching everybody differently.
If we choose anyone, it’s not far fetched to assume that they will be automatically burdened with the responsibility of the outcome of this movement. Divided we scatter #EndSARS
