Osun Babes forward, Abibat Agbaji, complained that fatigue was responsible for their 3-1 loss to FC Robo Queens in Matchday 2 of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
Speaking to Darlington Nwosu of Elegbete TV after the match at the
Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere Lagos, Abibat said:
“It’s fatigue I will not lie, we came into Lagos last night and before we could recover from it, it was too late”
Abibat scored the consolation goal for her team in the 75th minutes of the match and dedicated it to her mother who was at the stadium to support her.
A hat-trick from Monday Gift in the 45th 54th, and 58th respectively was all FC Robo Queens needed to pocket all three points from that game.
FC Robo Queens occupy the second spot on the NWFL table after Matchday 2 with 6 points, while Osun Babes sit in eighth place with 3 points from the number of games.
FC Robo will face Bayelsa Queens in Yenagoa, while Osun Babes will host Pelican Stars in Osogbo in matchday 3.
