Veteran coach Imama Amapakabo has agreed a deal with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club Abia Warriors as their new head coach according the Abia Warriors media team.
The club disclose this on their official twitter account today (Thursday June 9, 2020).
The formal assistant coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles began his coaching career in 2002, with Sharks FC (now Rivers United FC) were he coached for ten years.
In 2016 the 51-year-old Nigerian tactician led Enugu Rangers to their first NPFL tittle.
Abia Warriors gain promotion to the Nigeria Premier League (now NPFL) for the first time in August 2013.
The Umuahia based club sit 16 place on the NPFL table with 30 points from 25 matches before the league was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
