Professor Kemebradikumo Daniel Pondei, the acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission( NDDC), has finally broken silence over the fainting incident which occurred on the 20th of July 2020.
Recall that the Acting MD fainted at the National Assembly when he was questioned by Senate committee on the misappropriation of the budget of the NDDC,
It was reported that Mr Pondei who was questioned over the sum of N536 million which was paid to a group associate in the Niger Delta region, slumped while undergoing interrogation.
However he was resuscitated after fellow NDDC officials came to his rescue.
Speaking to Vanguard on the incident, Mr Pondei said he was never acting and he was shocked that people would think it was an act.
I had an unexplained, unexpected health challenge. It is ridiculous to think that people believed I was acting. I would not pray for anyone to experience what I went through. I do not run from issues. I have put all that behind me.
