Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has rejoined his former club Sevilla, on a four-year deal that will keep him at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium until the summer of 2024.
Barca will get €1.5million up front for the deal and €9million based on performance-related variables.
The newly appointed coach of the Catalan side Ronald Koeman is said to have made it clear to the Croatian midfielder that he is not in his plan for the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old spent six years at Camp Nou and won 13 trophies with the Catalan side, including the 2015 UEFA Champions League, four Copas dey Rey and four Spanish La Liga titles.
Rakitic first joined Sevilla in the summer of 2014. He played 310 games for Barcelona, including 42 last season in all competitions.
