A man has been robbed off his entire savings of $200,000 just outside the bank, moments after withdrawing it.
The man identified as Francisco Cornejo, was robbed by a masked man who was probably trailing him from the Chase Bank in Huntington Park, California, US.
A CCTV footage showed Francisco Cornejo, shouting for help while running after the masked man who was also on his heels after snatching the $200,000.
It was revealed that Francisco who raised the money after recently selling his house, parked very close to the bank, knowing he was withdrawing a large sum of money.
While narrating the ordeal, Francisco’s Lawyer, Nathan Soleimani, said;
“He was parked as close as possible to the bank, knowing he was going to withdraw a large amount of cash.
“Before he was able to get to his car, he was grabbed and beaten.
“And when he was being beaten he was doing his best to try and retain the bag that he brought with him.”
According to the family, the attack left Francisco battered and bruised but they are grateful he is alive.
According to the Lawyer, investigations are ongoing with investigators looking into CCTV footage from the bank to try and track the suspect.
The FBI is also involved and a representative from Chase Bank said they were working with law enforcement agency.
