French defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante will be absent when Chelsea will play against Crystal Palace this week Tuesday due to a hamstring injury, Frank Lampard has confirmed.
The Blues key man was limp off the pitch on Saturday in their 3-0 victory over Watford.
Chelsea manager Frank told his pre-match press conference on Monday: “Kante won’t be in the squad. He has hurt his hamstring. It’s a low-level hamstring [injury], so we’re hoping it is a week or so out”.
This means Jorginho, who has not play a single game since the league return last month after the coronavirus enforce break will resume duty in the heart of the midfield.
