It has been reported that the Nigerian Army has killed 5 secondary school students protesting against the arrest of one of their teachers in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba state.

A source told Sahara Reporters that the teacher simply identified as Mr Mathew, got married to one of his students, Ngufa Kavga, without the approval of the father, leading to the arrest of the teacher.

This however didn’t go down well with the students of Holy Ghost Secondary School, Pave Chanchji, who decided to mobilize themselves to protest against the release of their teacher while asking for both parties to settle amicably.

It was further revealed that the Nigerian Army upon sighting the protesting students, opened fire on them, killing five instantly.,

It was also disclosed that some of the protesting students ran into a river and are yet to be found.
