The Jewel of Rivers fail to go top of the table after matchday 9 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
Rivers Angels played a 1-1 draw against Dreamstar Ladies who sit at the bottom of the league table at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The result was the Galacticas’ first draw of the season and the Jewel Rivers’ third draw of the campaign.
Rivers Angel’s gaffer Edwin Okon make three changes to the starting line up that beat Royal Queens 3-0 in matchday 8.
Dreamstar Ladies’ coach Sheriff Tajudeen also make three changes to the starting eleven that lose 5-0 to FC Robo Queens in matchday 8.
Sheriff Tajudeen’s side started the game on a brighter note scoring in the first-half through Kalu Favour in the 21st minute.
The goal was Favour’s first goal of the season as the Galacticas try to stop the unbeaten run of the Jewel of Rivers in the league.
Deborah Abiodun scored five minute to the end of the game to help Edwin Okon’s side maintain their ununbeaten run.
Bayelsa Queens maintain their top spot on the log with 22 points, one point ahead of Rivers Angels after they played a 1-1 draw on Wednesday against Osun Babes.
Dreamstar Ladies has scored only six goals, while Rivers Angels has netted nineteen goals this season.
Dreamstar Ladies will travel to Akure to play Sunshine Queens, while Rivers Angels will be the guest of FC Robo Queens in their next match.
