Legendary Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro popularly know as Cristiano Ronaldo is nine goals away to becomes all time highest goal scorer on the international level.

The 35-year- old is just nine goals behind Iranian Ali Daei, who holds the world-record for most international goals (109) for his country.

Juventus forward Ronaldo scored his 100th international goal for Portugal with a sensational free-kick against Sweden in the Nations League last night.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner became the first European player to reach 100 international goals after scoring twice in Portugal’s 2-0 win over 10-man Sweden and takes his tally to 101.

Ronaldo scored his first international goal at Euro 2004. Lionel Messi has 70 international goal to his name making him Agentina’s all time top scorer. In women football, 17 players have hit the 100-goal mark.
