In a bid to give back to the society, Sammy embarked on a human capacity building programme captioned as the “NEXT RADIO STAR” project where aspiring, talented and young prospective media personalities were trained, nurtured and tortored by both local and international renowned journalists. However, the project is currently in its season 3.
It would interest you to know that Sammy was mentored by the likes of Mr. Emeka Enyadike, Celestine Ogolo, Isaac Esuku, Sampson Fiberesima, late Henry Kalio etc; whom in their days were top notches radio presenters to reckon with. Sammy is loved by many especially his fans because of his humorous and classic style when he is on Radio.
The energetic sports presenter is a big fan of Roger Federer which means Sammy is a big fan of tennis and his hobbies include reading, travelling and playing football.
In addition to his feathers, he is a man of many parts, also the current Media Officer and Director of Communications of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Rivers United FC, as well as the current Special Adviser on Media to the Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Hon Boma Iyaye.
