UEFA Champions League wrap: Giroud netted a haul as Chelsea top group E

Olivier Giroud was on fire as he netted a haul for Chelsea in matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Wednesday night (December 2).

The France international scored in the 8′, 54′, 74′ and 84′ minutes respectively to gave Chelsea a 0-4 victory over Sevilla.

The Blues sit comfortably on top of group E with 13 points from 5 matches having already secured their palce in the round of 16.

Earlier, Krasnodar beat Rennes 1-0 in Group E. Goal scored by Marcus Berg in the 71st minutes.

In Group F, Borussia Dortmund played a 1-1 draw with Lazio, while Clube Brugge defeated Zenit St. Petersburg 3-0.

Ferencvaros loose 0-3 at home to a Barcelona side without Messi on the pitch, goals scored by Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite, and Osumane Dembele in the 14′,20′, and 28 minutes respectively.

In the second match in Group G, saw Juventus beat Dynamo Kyiv 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium. Federico Chiesa, Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata were the goal scorers.

Group H produced a total number of 11 goals, in the first game Istanbul Basaksehir were beaten at home by 3-4 by RasenBallsport Leipzig. The other match saw Manchester United at Old Trafford lost 1-3 to Paris Saint-Germain.
