The West African Examination Council (WAEC), has set a new date for its 2020 examination. The examination is to hold from August 4th 2020 through September 5th 2020.

This announcement was made by the Federal government on Monday, June 6 2020.

During the briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 in Abuja, the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba who made the announcement, also said that there would be provision for revision classes for students who would pick interest.

The Minister also added that the National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) and NECO examinations would take place just after the WAEC exams had been concluded.

Nwajiuba further revealed that the country had over 19,000 centres for the test.

He also advised parents and guardians to make sure their wards register for National Examinations Council (NECO)  exams.
